   Aeroshow

-  is a mechanical toy, which refers to catapults and is designed for children of primary and secondary school age. This design of an aircraft improves playing opportunities, increases physical activity and offers variety of psychological and emotional impressions during plying.

   The toy consists of two interconnected plastic rings that join in two points at the ends of the diagonal. This allows both rings to rotate up to 180 degrees around the joints freely.  Light fabric is tightly stretched over the two rings. A rim of one of the rings has a hollowing for a mechanical spring, and a rim of the other ring has the latch. Movement of the rings creates two compartments and each one of them has a parachute inside.  Both parachutes are made of light colored fabric and have two colored rings made of foam-rubber. These rings are fixed between the cords one above the other.

Instruction:

   A catapult is in your hands and with its help you can launch a parachutist high in the sky. Its flight is different every time depending on strength of your launch, wind direction and character of air currents.
   The most important thing is to fold up both parachutes in the corresponding pockets of the catapult. First insert the parachute connected to the inner side of the pocket (pic. 1).  Make sure that the first parachute is placed in the pocket that it is fixed to. Place the second parachute in the empty pocket on the opposite side (pic. 2). How to fold up parachutes? It is not important at all: you can simply crumple them.
    Now take the lower part of the catapult with your right hand (if you are a right-hander) at the side that is opposite the winder; start winding with your left hand:
à) tightly press the rings to each other (at this both pockets will close);
á) turn a flag of the release mechanism clockwise (to the limiter at the end of the arch) (pic.3);
â) weaken pressure on the rings (the flag’s lug will be fixed in the cavity at the end of the arch).
Now the catapult is ready to be launched.

               You only have with your left hand to press the rings from the side of the lock together or just slightly tap the ring (from the side of the lock) against your left hand. As soon as you can hear humming (it is the released flag that started to go in the opposite direction) – launch the toy up with your right hand and with all your might (pic.4).

Attention:

Important notice: do not launch the catapult:

  • when there on strong wind;
  • near trees and power lines;
  • on the busy streets and roads.
